The girl behind the camera

 Hello there! My name is Stacey and I am a natural light photographer living in North Carolina.   The images above?  Yep, that’s me!   I do indeed get in front of the camera sometimes and have even had my own boudoir session photographed!  I really needed to know what position my clients are in when they are in front of the camera and what better way than to put myself in their sexy red pumps? Needless to say, that boudoir shoot made me realize a lot about myself and since then, I honestly have the most realistic and beautiful self perception I have ever had.

Realizing how important this shoot was to me after the fact was amazing. I went into it a little nervous since I’m usually behind the camera, but I had a blast during the actual shoot and then gained a world of self worth after seeing the images. THAT is why I love shooting boudoir. To give women the self worth they deserve and help them acknowledge that they are beautiful both inside and out and deserve to feel like a million bucks!  I love getting to know my clients and seeing that they come from all walks of life, yet am sad to hear that most struggle with self worth at some point in their lives.  I love knowing that I have the ability to help someone see themselves in a new, beautiful light – and I really hope to make some sort of impact on lives doing so.  Even if there is no self-worth issue and they just want to do it because they KNOW they look fabulous, I cannot help but smile knowing I am supporting them to be confident and fierce!

So who am I, really? Well, I’m in my mid-20s and while I live on a farm in North Carolina, I dream of city-living on a semi-daily basis.  I love nature and being surrounded by it, but I also love to meet new people and try new things.   I am a little quirky, pretty artistic, way too goofy for my own good and I love the simple things in life. I am in love with a great man and together we have 6 cats, whom really own us. I love to read, discuss and enjoy a nice glass of wine or several cups of coffee. Photography is my passion and has been my career for the past 5 years.

I love animals and being surrounded by them, so our cats, dogs, and my rat mean the world to me.  Oh yeah, I have a pet rat and she is amazing.  95% of the time I take my coffee black.  I am a sweet snacker although my favorite foods are vegetables.  I would consider myself equal parts girl-girl and tomboy.  I love to work out, when I remember I have a gym membership.
